TUM Campus Straubing Honor for Outstanding PhD Supervision Prof. Dr. Sebastian J. Goerg Receives Supervisory Award

Prof. Dr. Sebastian J. Goerg from the Professorship of Economics has been honored with the Supervisory Award of the TUM Campus Straubing for his outstanding supervision of Doctoral Candidates. The award was presented as a surprise during the monthly PhD Stammtisch.

The Supervisory Award of the Graduate School at the Technical University of Munich Campus Straubing is presented annually to professors who stand out in their supervision of Doctoral Candidates. This prestigious award is based on nominations from the doctoral students themselves and recognizes exceptional support that extends beyond academic guidance.

This year, the award was presented to Prof. Dr. Sebastian J. Goerg from the Professorship of Economics at the TUM Campus Straubing. His dedicated mentorship fosters not only the academic growth of his doctoral students but also creates a supportive environment for innovative research.

The award was handed over during the monthly PhD Stammtisch at the Straubing Campus as a surprise event, organized by PhD representatives Maximiliane Rau (Chair of Chemistry of Biogenic Resources) and Martin Speckner (Professorship of Economics). During the event, the doctoral students expressed their gratitude and highlighted Prof. Goerg’s inspiring and empowering supervision.
