Professorship Economics

Welcome to the Professorship of Economics (Prof. Dr. Sebastian J. Goerg) at the Technical University of Munich at the TUM Campus Straubing for Biotechnology and Sustainability.

How do incentives, information and (legal) institutions impact human behavior in economically relevant situations? We investigate these and related questions with the help of lab and field experiments, as well as other empirical approaches. Our main research focus is in the area of Experimental and Behavioral Economics, but we relate our findings to different fields within Economics, primarily Organizational Economics, Personnel Economics, and Law & Economics. However, insights are not limited to Economics and consequently we pursue an interdisciplinary research agenda together with co-authors who have backgrounds in Business, Economics, Legal Studies, Political Sciences, and Psychology.
